Essie Flowerista Watermarble

Hi everyone,
long time, no see... or rather post. Those past days I have been busy preparing for a job interview and I was not really in the mood to paint my nails. Finally, that stress is gone now and my nail mojo is back. For the first time in ages, I tried water marbling again using two colors from the Essie Flowerista collection.

My picks from the Essie Flowerista collection

garden variety petal pushers flowerista

Hi everyone,
today I have my picks from the current Essie Spring collection called Flowerista to share with you. Uhm.. and yes, I did change my nail shape. Back in the day before I even started blogging I used to wear my nails super long in a stiletto shape. When I started blogging I quickly gave up on that shape, because it was very high maintenance and threw me back whenever I suffered a break. But recently, there has been something about my square nails that bugged me. Somehow my nails looked wide and not very feminine anymore. Thus, I decided to give the almond shape a try. I know this shape is not for everyone and while I was skeptical at first, they have really grown on me. With this shape my fingers look slimmer than with my square nails. What do you think? I hope you will enjoy my swatches just as much as before!

Glam Polish Fantasia Flakies - Star Shadow

fantasia flakies swatch

Happy Sunday everyone,
today is a perfect Spring day over here in good old Germany. We just returned from a weekend trip to Bonn, where we visited the botanical garden and attended a meeting about carnivorous plants. We want to go out and soak up some more sun while it lasts, but still I want to share a swatch with you that I did a while ago.

Essie Cashmere Matte collection - Comfy in Cashmere

essie cashmere matte collection review

Happy hump day!
I hope you enjoyed the Easter holidays. I had a few busy but very enjoyable days with friends and family. The bad news is, I chopped off two of my nails on my swatch hand while cutting onions for a barbeque, so I had to file those two down to nubs. I cannot bring myself to cutting them all down to the same length. Hence, I am thinking of showing my cinderella (dominant) hand until the nails on my left hand have grown back to a reasonable length - if I can figure out how to pose and take good pictures of my right hand that is.

Spring Stamping #manifail

Spring nail design butterfly
Happy Good Friday!
For this weekend I attempted some spring themed nails. As you've probably read in the title of this post, this manicure did not quite turn out the way I had imagined.
