Today I have just a quick post for you as I've been kinda busy this weekend.
Nonetheless I just had to show you this layering manicure I did last week. First I wore China Glaze Concrete Catwalk from this year's Metro Fall collection. Pigmentation of this was awesome, I only needed one medium coat for full coverage. Concrete Catwalk is a dark grey with a creme finish.. what else can I say? After wearing this for a day I got kinda bored (don't get me wrong, I liked the color, I just felt it needed a special "kick") and needed a change without having to redo the complete manicure. So I chose the Essence Dance topcoat from their recent Re-Mix Your Style limited edition. I applied two coats over Concrete Catwalk.
Here are the two leading polishes.

So here is Concrete Catwalk on its own. Pretty dark grey - I like it, even though it probably isn't the most unique shade.
Essence's Dance topcoat - which is also called Waking Up In Vegas - is very similar to Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure or Nubar 2010. It's multichrome flakies in a clear base polish. The color changes from red over orange to green. The flakies appear red most of the time while the green shows up only at extreme angles.
I am in love with this top coat! Plus it was only 1,75€ for 8ml! Sadly most of the Remix Your Style polishes seem to be sold out - at least in the drugstores I went to. So for all my US readers I hope this limited edition comes to you as well! If it does, be sure to get this beauty!
As a basecoat I used Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle. Photos were taken indoors for Concrete Catwalk and in direct sunlight for the Dance top coat.
I also have a new watermark! I found an easy to use software for watermarking and resizing my images and you might see this one more often from now on :)
Well, well, that is it for today. Now I will prepare something for dinner, relax a bit before it's time to go back to work on Monday morning - bleh.
Have a nice evening,
