Essence Color & Go Fall shades - Swatches and Review Part II

Good afternoon,

how is everybody doing? I hope you're fine and enjoying your week so far!

Today I have for you the second part of the swatches of the new Color & Go polishes for Fall from Essence. The first part can be found here. This post focuses on the blues, black and glitters. For swatches of Time For Romance click here and for Hard to Resist here
This time I am showing you (from left to right) Galactic Black, Blue Addicted, In Style, Gleam In Blue and Make It Golden.

First we have Galactic Black, which is a black creme base with silver flecks in it. This is two coats, so pigmentation was good and also application was no problem. Somehow this one reminds me a bit of China Glaze Haunting, only with less glitter, don't you think?

Second up is Blue Addicted. This is a navy blue jelly base with large green and blue hex glitter particles and lots of small blue glitter. This very much resembles Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe - but costs only a fraction of it! However, I wasn't too happy with its texture as it was hard to get an even coat and it was rather hard to control. On my pinkie I did only one coat, the rest is two coats. As you can see, it is not completely opaque and a bit thin at the tips. For a full manicure you need at least three coats. I'd rather use it on top of another polish instead of wearing it solo.

In Style is a dark teal color with turquoise shimmer. For full coverage I needed three coats. Application again was pretty easy. This is one of my favorites from this range and I love how it sparkles in the sunlight ;)

Gleam In Blue is the lightest blue I got from Essence's Color & Go Fall range. It is a light sky blue with a frosty finish. This is three coats. As you can see, this one dried a little dull and is a bit brush strokey.

The last polish I swatched is called Make It Golden. This is large and small golden hex glitter with gold microglitter in a clear base. The photo shows two coats. This polish would be suitable as a glittery top coat unless you have the patience to do plenty of coats to obtain opacity :)

All swatches were performed with no base or top coat and photos were taken indoors in natural light or in direct sunlight.

All the polishes you see here are now part of Essence Color & Go standard range. In Germany, Essence is available in most drugstores. A 5ml bottle retails for 1,29€. In the US Essence polishes are sold by Ulta for $0.99 per 5ml.

Those were all the Color & Go Fall shades I got. Hope you enjoyed the swatches!
Let me know what your favorites from this range are!

Until next time,
- Sabine
