I am wishing all of you a happy Halloween and lots of fun trick or treating! Over here in Germany we don't celebrate Halloween as people in the US do, but still I like everything related to it - spooky decorations, costumes, Candy Corn.... Well, tomorrow is All Saints' Day over here so I am going to have a day off. I don't have any plans for tonight or tomorrow but I think I will relax a bit.
As I already mentioned in my last post I couldn't find the time to do a Halloween manicure this year. Still I would like to show you a polish I have worn recently and which is one of my favorites for this Fall. Today I have for you Rock The World from Orly's Mineral FX collection. I already showed you Roccoco-A-Go-Go here. And just like Roccoco-A-go-Go I am completely in love with Rock The World! I know it is a bit similar to OPI's It's My Year or Zoya's Faye, but I don't mind since I don't own one of those two. Here is a bottleshot taken in plain sunlight. I left all the images large and if you click them, you can see the texture of the polish.
Rock The World is a brownish purple base with golden flecks. In sunlight this polish appears more purple and sparkly. Taken into shade you can nicely see the golden flecks in the base color.
For this manicure I used Orly Bonder as a basecoat, then applied two coats of Rock The World and finished it up with one coat of INM Out The Door. Again you can click the images to enlarge them.
I also got Stone Cold and Rock It from the same collection and left out Emberstone and Rock Solid. Since one 18ml bottle was $9 at Sally's Beauty I thought I could skip those two; Emberstone because it was too red for my liking and Rock Solid because it looked too much like the average silver grey glitter. But after having tried Roccoco-A-Go-Go and Rock It I already regret not getting those two as well. I got my four bottles in a swap and maybe I can arrange another one to get the last two members of the Mineral FX collection because they are absolutely worth the money! I dare saying that this is my favorite nail polish collection this Fall - together with Finger Paints' Fall Fashionista collection.
What is your favorite Fall nail polish collection for 2011 or your all time "must have" Fall shade?
Enjoy Halloween and have a good time,
