NOTD: Revlon - Facets Of Fuchsia

Happy Tuesday!

I hope all of you had a great time at Christmas with family and loved ones! I had, not to mention all the food there was. As usual, Christmas was over much too fast and now everything is back to normal again - which is good as far as the amount of food is concerned, haha. Still I am glad I have this week off so I can relax a bit and calm down from the busy Christmas days. For me, there were no nail polish or make up products under the Christmas tree, but my parents got me a macro lens for my camera which is pretty awesome! Today I took some pictures with it of my current manicure which is Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia. I hope you'll enjoy the "new" pics just as much as I do :)

I got this polish in a swap with Esther from Fab Fingertips and I'm so glad I got it from her because we don't have Revlon products over here :( So thanks again girl!
With my new lens I couldn't help but take a real close up shot of this pretty polish.

Facets Of Fuchsia is a black creme base with fuchsia glitter in different sizes. There's large hex glitter as well as small hex glitter in there. I used Butter London Horse Power as a base and then applied three coats of Facets of Fuchsia before finishing everything off with INM Out The Door. I love the color combination because the dark base really makes the glitter stand out!

Application of this polish was okay for me but not great. The base is a bit sheer, that's why I ended up with three coats. And I felt drying took forever, even though I used a speed-dry top coat. Not to mention cleanup is a bit tough so be sure to apply this as neatly as possible because the tiny glitter is hard to remove with a brush! Yet I really like Facets Of Fuchsia a lot! Today is day three of wear (wow, that's really a long time for me :) ) and there is a tiny bit of tipwear on my right hand but no chips or cracks.
Here is again a macro shot of Facets Of Fuchsia an my nails.

It really hurts to see all those great Revon colors coming out and not be able to get my hands on them - catchword Whimsical! *sigh* What are your favorite Revlon nail polishes so far? This was my very first so I'm dying to try more of their colors :)
Thanks for watching!
