China Glaze - Some Like It Haute .... oooooh yes!

Good evening everyone!

Long time no see. I haven't blogged as often as usual these days as it's really been a busy week for me. As a PhD student I have to do a certain amount of teaching Bachelor students and this time those nine students kept me on the go all day long. So I am more than glad that it's Friday which means I can relax a bit and then go back to my own work on Monday.

Today I have for you another Winter shade which is Some Like It Haute by China Glaze. This one came out as one of six 3D Eyecandy Glitters in Winter 2011 and I finally wore it last week.

I remember a couple of months ago when there were almost no such glitters in my nail polish collection because the ones I've tried needed tons of coats and their removal was so annoying. I can't tell which polish it was that made me want to give glitters another try but this one made me fall in love with glitters even more now :)

Some Like It Haute is a clear base that it is loaded with fine charcoal glitter and larger round holographic glitter. This looks similar to Orly's Rock Solid but those two are not dupes! I loved how this one applied nicely as it wasn't thick at all. Still I needed three coats for full coverage but the individual layers dried super fast! The finish was a bit rough but not really gritty. I only used one coat of top coat but it would have needed more for a smooth surface.

I got my bottle of Some Like It Haute from Transdesign where it was $2.99 for 14ml. China Glaze polishes are also available at ULTA, Sally's and several drugstores. I also got Marry A Millionaire from the 3D Eyecandy collection and I'm looking forward to trying this one as well!

Thanks for reading and enjoy your Friday evening!
