and happy Sunday! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Too bad it's already over - again. I had a great day and now I am sitting on the couch with my notebook blogging while my boyfried is cooking dinner. I can already smell the medaillons of pork with mushrooms, pasta and salad - yummy :D
Today I show you the fourth nail polish from Essence's recent Winter collection entitled Crystalliced. Please welcome Ice Crystals On My Window!
Ice Crystals On My Window is a translucent white base polish with iridescent pink shimmer. when I examined the bottle more closely I found some sparse white flecks that really look like chips or splinters of ice.
Here I used three coats and no base or top coat. There still is clearly visible VNL but I like the effect. After the first two coats it still looked patchy so I had to do a third coat to even everything out. As with most of the other polishes from the Crystalliced collection the shimmer is really decent and does not stand out unless you look at your nails reeeaaal closely.
Application was no problem but the brush from this bottle was horrible. It had some bristles that where longer than the others so I had to cut them down to be able to precisly apply the nail polish. Drying time really surprised my as it was rather quick compared to other Essence polishes I've tried!
As much as I love this collection I think Ice Crystals On My Window and Frosted Champaign which I showed you previously are not the most flattering colors on me as they make my skin look weird. The polish itself is very pretty though!
The Essence CrystallICEd collection is available in most German drugstores between January and February 2012. One bottle contains 8ml and retails for 1,79€. In the US Essence is sold by ULTA, H-E-B and FredMyer. I don't know if this collection will come to the US but if you can find it somewhere near your I recommend picking it up!
Tomorrow I am going to show you the very last polish from the Crystalliced LE so be sure to check this one out!
Thanks for watching and have a nice evening!
