Happy
Monday everybody!
Today I
have for you the first of five polishes from the new Essence Limited Edition
called CrystallICEd. This is a nice
Winter collection with lots of neutral colors. If I can’t have winter outside I
will at least have it on my nails :D
In the
bottle the fuchsia and silver shimmer is nicely visible. However it almost
disappears on the nails. I can see it best under artificial lighting and then
you have to look real closely! Seems like
there also is a bit of light blue shimmer in the nail polish.
For this
manicure I used two coats of Ice Eyes Baby and yet there still is visible nail line so I could
have done a third coat for full coverage but I also like it this way. The
polish was a bit on the thicker side but not really “thick thick” and it
leveled out nicely after application. I used the Essence Better Than Gel Nails
Top Sealer as a top coat and the whole manicure dried very quickly – like! The
brush of the rather small bottle is short and wide but I had no problems
applying the polish onto my nails. I can’t say anything about wear right now
because I’ve been wearing this for only one day.
The Essence
CrystallICEd collection is available in most German drugstores between January and February
this year. One bottle contains 8ml and retails for 1,79€. In the US Essence is
sold by ULTA, H-E-B and FredMyer. So far
I couldn’t find out if this Limited Edition is coming to the US as well.
In my next
post I am going to show you another polish from the CrystallICEd collection
because I liked all the colors so much that I took all 5 shades home. If you’ve
been a follower of my blog for a little while then you probably know that I am
not a fan of nude polishes. But this collection really surprised me - with its
decent shades and subtle shimmers it is perfect for the cold season!
So stay
tuned for the next CrystallICEd polish!
Thanks for reading!
