and welcome to the third part of my Crazy Good Times collection swatches! I've already reviewed Candyction and Confetteria and today I would like to show you Paradelade! This one is a black creme base with silver microglitter in it. If you have seen the other polishes from Essence's recent limited edition - which are really bold and eye-catching - you might wonder what this has to do with crazy good times... and so do I! Somehow I feel this nail polish looks a little misplaced among the glittery, flakie and glass flecked pinks, yellow and blue. Still I decided to give this one a chance and I took it home. Here it is!
For this manicure I did two coats without base or top coat and the finish wasn't completely smooth but not gritty either. Therefore the glitter is not as shiny anymore as it was in the bottle.
In terms of color this was the only letdown in this collection. I mean if a limited edition is called Crazy Good Times I would not expect a black polish in there, right?! What about a vibrant purple or so? Well, I don't want to complain here as the other colors are really great. I like Essence's latest LE releases because they've added lots of new and interesting finishes such as flakies and all sorts of glitters to their polishes. And people seem to love this, too because usually their LE products sell out fast! They should think about bigger displays in the near future ;)
The Crazy Good Times Limited Edition is available in February 2012 in most German drugstores. However I was only able to find a display in my local Rossmann store already in late January. So I am not sure if this LE will also come to DM or IhrPlatz. Be sure to watch out for them! For 1,79€ per 8ml bottle those are pretty affordable!
Thanks for reading and hope to see you again,
