Little Layering Experiment: NfuOh - 49 over BeYu - 209 Brilliant Shiraz over Confetti - Masquerade Ball

Hi everyone,

in my last post, where I showed you Confetti Masquerade Ball, I promised you a layering manicure and here it is :) I haven't really done a lot of layering experiments but those two polishes I used are meant to be layered over another base color.
Are you ready for some multichrome-flakie picture spam? Then read on after the jump!

This was two coats of Confetti Masquerade Ball topped with one coat of BeYu 209 - also known as Brilliant Shiraz - and one coat NfuOh 49. BeYu 209 is a very sheer pinkish polish with multichrome shimmer particles. They flash red, orange and green in the bottle but sadly this did not show up on the nails, they appear red most of the time. NfuOh 49 is a veeery sheer pinkish orange (or coral?) base stuffed with multichromatic flakies. It definitly is too sheer to be worn on its own but I love how it looks layered! The flakes flash red, orange, yellow and I especially love the green that shows up at extreme angles! I know it's all about flakies this year and this trend really got me hooked! But they are pretty and lovable, right!? At least I can't get enough of them at the moment ;) Somehow this manicure reminds me of falling leaves in Autumn.

I will surely try some more layerings in the future, I just have to find more "layering appropriate" polishes ;) What is your favorite layering combo?

That's it for today, thanks for looking!

  1. Looks wonderful! I'm in love with Nfu Ohs. Don't have 49 so far though. So far have only worn the opals over a single other colour. You've inspired me to try three:)
