A while back I ordered lots of OPI polishes from an Austrian e-tailer for little money - which was between 4 - 6€ which is really cheap considering the price is 16€ at authorized sellers here! I think OPI forced them so stop selling their products, that's while they were on sale. It is still not clear to me why this company does not want their products to be sold online... Anyway, I was surprised to find lots of polishes that have been on my wishlist for a while - including Mad As A Hatter and Absolutely Alice! Some OPI Suede polishes caught my eye as I've seen lots of pictures and their finish looked interesting - I know, matte polish is so 2010 (or was it back in 2009 already?) but still I like those. The original OPI Ink was part of the Night Brights collection released back in 2007 and is one of my favorite OPI polishes. The Suede version looks completely different from the original though!
OPI Ink Suede was released in Fall 2009 and is a purple strongly leaning towards blue. There are silver shimmery particles in there that create the suede effect. Application was awesome and opaque with one coat. For the manicure I used two coats to even out some streaks in the first one. OPI recommends not to use a top coat as this will destroy the suede look - it is worth a try however because this one looks great with a shiny finish!
Along wth OPI Ink Suede I got Russian Navy Suede and Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede and I wish I had ordered Here Today Aragon Tomorrow as well :(
What's your opinion on Suede polishes - yay or nay?!
