Today I have for you a swatch of one of the new Essence Color & Go shades for Spring/Summer 2012. It is called Gold Fever and it is a clear base loaded with golden microglitter and small round golden glitter. The golden glitter is speckled with small red glitter. If I see right it even is square red glitter and there seems to by some red microglitter as well. See for yourself and read on after the jump!
Essence Gold Fever is packed densly enough with glitter to be worn on its own and I think you can get it opaque with three coats. However to still see the individual glitter particles I layered this over a dark base color - in this case it's two coats of L'Oreal Resist & Shine Titanium 735 Black Brown. Over this I applied two coats of Gold Fever. This swatch is without top coat and I like the non-gritty finish this polish has. It is not completely smooth but one layer of top coat will be enough to even everything out. The color combination reminds me of China Glaze's Electrify from their Hunger Gamaes collection, but this has larger glitter particles and more red glitter in it.
Essence Gold Fever is one of my favorites from the new Essence Color & Go polishes. Which is yours?
Have a good evening and I hope you're all not too busy with preparations for Easter :)
Thanks for reading,
