Gradient Manicure: Tequila Sunrise On My Nails

Happy humpday peeps!

I hope you all had a great week so far! Yesterday was a public holiday here in Germany so I took the time to experiment a bit with nail polish. I see lots of pretty gradient manicures everywhere and since I really like this nail art trend I decided to go with the flow and try one myself. I opted for something summery so I picked OPI Need Sunglasses? and A Roll In The Hague. With a little help from Sammy's tutorial this design was really easy to achieve. Prior to painting my nails I had to shorten them a bit because I broke two nails on my right hand while I was overseas and I wanted all of my nails to be the same lenth. So here is what my gradient or Ombré design looks like on my new nubbins:

I haven't used Need Sunglasses? in quite a while and I've almost forgotten how watery and runny this one is so I started out with two coats before sponging on the two colors. For a bit of extra bling I added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust and then finished it with INM Out The Door.
A colleague noticed that it looks like a sunset or sunrise and a fellow Instagram user said "This looks like Tequila Sunrise on your nails" - hence the title ;)

As this design is so easy to create this won't be my last gradient manicure! Have you tried this design already?

Thanks for looking and good evening,
<3 Sabine
