and happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there! Get spoiled and enjoy your day!
Today I have for you another favorite nail polish for Spring. This is Olé Caliente from Essie's Navigate Her collection for Spring 2012. When I first saw it I only picked up the pistachio green Navigate Her but after seeing several swatches of Olé Caliente I knew I needed this in my life. It is such a bright and fun coral red creme with pink undertones.
I do not know a lot of Spanish and I had no idea what Olé Caliente meant so I googled a bit and caliente seems to mean hot. And 'hot' definitely is the right word to describe this nail polish! This is a bit more pink in real life though but my camera sometimes refuses to pick up those bright shades properly. I applied two coats of Essie Nourish Me (formerly known as Feed Me) basecoat and finished it off with Good To Go topcoat. Formulation of this polish is great, very opaque and application was a bliss! Solely the new thick brush is almost a bit too wide for my pinkie nails. Sadly this manicure did not look great for too long. Already on the next morning I had chips and a lot of tipwear on several nails. I am not sure if this is due to the polish or because of the combination of basecoat/polish/topcoat I used. But since all products are from Essie I would expect them to work well together. Apart from this I am a fan of this color!
Well, since there is some selfmade New York Cheesecake (my first try ever ;) ) waiting for me to be eaten that is it for today. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
