Manicure recycling: Essence - Gold Fever & China Glaze - Riveting

Happy Friday everyone!

Another week over, wow. I hope you had a good one and have something nice to do this weekend! We had planned to meet friends for BBQ and football on Sunday, but now that Germany isn't in the tournament anymore, we might skip that part ;) Oh well, it is just football and there are more important things than that, right?! Right, so on to the polish part of this post!
Remember my China Glaze Riveting manicure I showed you in the beginning of this week and how amazed I was by that color? Well it had some tip wear after two days but still I didn't want to take it off because I loved the color so much. Due to that - and lack of time to be honest - I decided to stick with it a little longer and simply give it a little "lifting". On my search for a matching color I reached for Essence Color & Go Gold Fever and sponged that on top of Riveting.

The tiny golden shimmer particles of Gold Fever go along pretty well with Riveting but sadly the square red shimmer particles don't really stand out from the crowd anymore. This combo was super sparkly in sunlight any my camera had a tough time focusing ;)
I think applying or sponging glitter (or other polishes) over an existing mani is a great way to cover chips or tipwear if you're in a hurry or don't want to do a completely new manicure. Have you ever "recycled" a manicure?

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
