I hope it is more summery where you are. It's been raining heavily all day long here and the weather isn't anything like Summer even though it's already end of June - meh. So I decided to go with something sunny on my nails. I recently did a swap with the lovely Jacqui from Scholarly Nail and she was so kind to get some of the China Glaze Capitol Colors for me. Among them was Riveting, a wonderful bright glass-flecked orange shade I want to share with you today.
Isn't this an awesome orange? It is so bright in direct sunlight it nearly freaked out my camera and even in shade it seems to glow from within. Love it! Riveting is a vivid orange with lots of orange and golden glass flecks. I used two coats here and at certain angles one can see a teeny tiny bit of visible nail line if you look closely but coverage was enough for me. Application was easy as well. I went with Essie Nourish Me as a base and Good To Go as a topcoat. I put this on two days ago and by now there is visible tipwear but no chips or cracks so I might wear this one more day.
On a different note: I'd like to apologize for my rather spare posting those last couple of weeks. If you've been follwing my blog or twitter for a while you might know that I am currently writing my PhD thesis which keeps me super busy. I have to submit it by the end of August and afterwards things will be back to normal here. So keep your fingers crossed for me ;) Thanks.
Have a great Monday and talk to you all soon,
