Polish Days Vol. 3 - Polish Olympics

Hi everyone!

Yes, I am back! I have been absent for far too long! Most of you might already know that I am currently writing my PhD thesis, which does not leave a lot of time for polishing nails or blogging. I am not yet completely done with my thesis. The first draft is finished and now I have three more weeks for corrections before I have to submit my thesis. So I am still busy but I wanted to participate in Polish Days so badly that I decided to squeeze in a day for nail art and blogging.

My first two attempts were massive failures and I am not 100% happy with the result of trial #3, but I hope you will like my contribution for #PolishOlympics anyway :)

As you can see I am not overly skilled at freehand nail art *lol* On my index I did a water marble design to represent the Olympic fire. Next is a Union Jack representing the United Kingdom. How I wish I had seen Sammy's flag tutorial before I did this manicure. For the Olympic rings I used the straw method and finally I free-handed a German flag on my pinkie nail. To finish everything off and to add a little extra bling I applied one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on every nail.

Thanks for stopping by and I promise I will be back to regular posting soon! Don't forget to visit all the other blogs for more great Olympic nail designs!
