I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! It is a wonderful sunny Sunday over here, a perfect Fall day. Today I have for you a manicure that reminds me of Fall as well. A while back I got All Tied Up from Essie's Summer collection Bikini So Teeny. This color doesn't really scream Summer for me and I think it is suitable for Fall as well. To spice it up a little I layered The Huntsman from the Essence LE Snow White over it.
I was really looking forward to finally trying one of the highly anticipated Snow White LE polishes. What can I say? I like The Huntsman over All Tied Up. The rosewood-y color goes well with the warm golden hex glitter. The texture of The Huntsman was a bit disappointing though. The clear base was gooey and not easy to work with. I had to dab the glitter where I wanted it to be, because it did not come off the brush. So I ended up with the glitter not being distributed evenly on my nails. In addition to large and small golden hex glitter there also are shards of mylar glitter, like in Color Club's Covered In Diamands for example. I am not a fan of this shredded glitter, because I always have problems getting it smooth and it tends to stick out of my nails (like the big chunk at the tip of my middle finger). However, I will give The Huntsman another try, because it is quite a unique glitter topper, but I will add some thinner and hope that it'll be easier to work with then.
Now I will go outside and enjoy Summer's last rays of sun, before gloomy and rainy Fall will be upon us ;) Have a lovely Sunday and I hope to see you next time.
