and welcome to another round of Polish Days! If you still haven't heard about this event, it basically is a consortium of nail polish bloggers who create nail designs according to a certain topic (chosen by Hannah from PollyPolish) and publish them on every first Tuesday of the month.
For February's theme "Back To Nature" I took inspiration from my little blooming peach tree on my balcony - and maybe a can of Arizona Green tea, my favorite ice tea ever ;)
I started out by painting my nails with OPI Mermaid's Tears as a background. For the branches and blossoms I used acrylic paints, as I find these easier to work with than regular polish (plus, you can remove it easier if you make a mistake). I finished everything off with a coat of Northern Lights in gold by INM to add some sparkles.
I am not 100% happy with the flowers. I wish I had taken the time to do a bit more shading so they'd look a bit more 3D like. I love the color combo though and how the pink pops against the base color. My blooming peach tree always reminds me of Spring, which I hope will arrive soon (I am definitely in the mood for some more sunshine by now!). Spring is my favorite time of the year, when after a dark and cold Winter everything comes back to life. I do not know about you, but sunny weather, blooming plants and singing birds make me feel so much better and motivated.
I hope you enjoyed today's Polish Days post. Don't forget to check out the other girls' great Back To Nature manicures.
Have a great day,
