First of all, a warm welcome to all the new readers who have found their way here via my 500 follower giveaway. It is so nice to read all your comments and suggestions on what to blog about and I will try to fulfill your wishes as long as they don’t exceed my capabilities :) The contest will be running for another 11 days, so I am open to more of your ideas!
Today I have a little nail art experiment to share with you. Since Spring has not really sprung over here (it is still around 0°C, brrr), I thought I’d create my own Spring scenery on my nails. So I went for a sponged gradient in Spring colors, but that alone looked a bit boring to me. I have always wanted to master the Konad stamping technique and I even got me an inexpensive starter kit from Essence. I’ve tried it a few times in the past, but never got the design right, so I gave up. For this Spring manicure, I chose to get my stamping kit out from the back of the drawer and give it another try. As much as I love the whole nail designs, I thought it would be easier to start out with something simple, like single flowers and butterflies. So here is what I ended up with.
I first painted my nails with China Glaze Electric Beat and then sponged China Glaze’s Gaga For Green on top. For the flowers I used the Essence stamping polish in white and one of their image plates. This design very much reminds me of a meadow with blooming flowers, don’t you think so? I quite like how it came out. Maybe I need to get me some new image plates and stamping polishes after all and practice some more, so I can show you more stamping manicures ;)
I'd be greatful for tips on what image plates are worth getting and please me know your favorite stamping polishes!
I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading, have a great day!
