I hope your weekend is going great so far. I went to my mother in law's 60th birthday party yesterday, which gladly wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be. Still it was a busy day, but I had lots of fun and loads of food. Today is a "stay in my PJs" kinda Sunday for me, but I quickly wanted to show you what I wore on my nails for the party.
I pulled out I Don't Give A Rotterdam! from the OPI Holland collection for Spring 2012. This is my favorite Spring collection ever and I fell in love with it the moment I saw Fashion Polish's swatches. Even though this Spring I am totally hooked on the brights/neon color trend, I thought a subdued color would be more appropriate for the occasion, since the restaurant we went to was rather up-market and elegant.
I Don't Give A Rotterdam! is a dusty steel blue with silver flecks, which stand out nicely against the base color. As with almost all OPI polishes I have tried so far, application and formula of the polish were perfect. I used OPI Nail Envy as a base, since some of my nails started peeling recently and I used RapiDry topcoat. So far there is no tipwear or cracks, despite me preparing various snacks, doing the dishes etc.
What is your go to nail polish for Spring? Do you prefer soft shades for this season or will you be rocking more vivid colors this Spring?
Thanks for reading, happy Sunday everyone!
