New In My Stash - June 2013

Today is the last day of the month, so it is time for another "What's New In My Stash" post.
Since I've been a really bad girl last month, I decided to put myself on a no buy for the months of June and July. Needless to say it didn't work out. I just have no willpower, d'oh. But I am happy that I didn't go too overboard with my purchases. So still I will try to not buy anything nail polish or make up related next month! I have some Lush Lacquers on the way, but since I purchased them in June they don't count, do they?! So without much further ado, here are the items that moved into my stash this past month.

In KB Shimmer's last restock at Harlow & Co. I was finally able to snag some of her new Summer collection nail polishes. I got The Dancing Green, Pimp My Pride and What's Your Damage?. I have already worn and reviewed What's Your Damage? and sadly I wasn't a big fan of this one. I will wear Pimp My Pride next, as it will make a perfect 4th of July manicure, and I hope I will like this better.

Also from Harlow & Co. I got Sky's The Limit by Lacquer Lust (I need more of these, they're so pretty!) and Pastelchio from Lime Crime's nail polish range (I forgot to photograph this one, sorry).
I fell head over heels in love with neon colors this summer, so of course I had to get some of Essie's Neons. I picked up Bottle Service and Shake Your $$ Maker and wore both in a homa style manicure already. While I absolutely love the colors, the formula leaves much to be desired. They're too thin and go on patchy.
In a Dutch drugstore I came across various discounted Sally Hansen nail polishes and bought Mint Sorbet, a light minty green creme.

These two products only made it into my stash a few weeks back, but they have already become my favorite hand care products. The Vaseline healthy hands hand cream is great for summer. It absorbs quickly, does not leave a greasy residue and has SPF 15 - everything I look for in a hand cream!
Badger Balm Cuticle Care reminds me of Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Butter - only that I like this one better! I find it much easier to apply because it melts instantly when you rub your fingers over the surface. I feel like my cuticles also absorb this better than the Burt's Bees butter. And I adore the ginger scent this balm has :)

It was frustrating to see Rimmel finally disappear from the German market a few months back, because their range harbors some nice gems. Gladly, they still sell Rimmel in Dutch drugstores, so I went there to have a peek. I have heard so many great things about their Stay Matte powder, so I got one in the shade Pink Blossom. I haven't used it, yet, but I do like the very perfum-y smell of this powder.
Rimmel also offers a huge variety of mascaras and since I go through them rather quickly, I took two of them home. I was intrigued by the absolutely huge wand of the Scandaleyes Extreme Black mascara, but when I tried it at home I was really disappointed with the product. This mascara did nothing for me lashes. No lengthening, no volume :( I hope the Scandaleyes Show Off with its plastic wand will perform better.

What I did love however were Rimmel's Apocalips lip lacquers. They're a lipstick in a gloss form - super pigmented and shiny. They were ridiculously expensive in the Netherlands (12€ a pop), so I got mine from Asos where they're 6€ each.

Finally, I ordered two things from HQhair during a "20% off  of everything" sale. I have been eyeing Urban Decay's De-Slick make up setting spray for a while. I hope that'll help my make up staying in place this summer season. I also bought one of their new Moondust eyeshadows. This is in the shade Space Cowboy and I love it!

So that was it. I hope you enjoyed this post. As always, let me know which products you would like to see reviewed here first. What was your favorite nail polish/make up item for the month of June?

Thanks for reading, have a great Sunday,
