KB Shimmer - Pimp My Pride

Happy belated 4th of July!

I hope everyone in the US had a great time celebrating Independence Day! Even though I am living on the other side of the pond, I wanted to sympathize with my American friends and thought I'd do a 4th of July manicure. I love the combination of white, blue and red, so what better occasion is there to wear a polish like KB Shimmer's Pimp My Pride?! ;)

Pimp My Pride was released as part of KB Shimmer's Summer 2013 collection. It is a white jelly base with red and white metallic hexes in different sizes as well as small bar glitter. I wanted this to be completely opaque, so I painted two coats over a white base.
While I was disappointed with What's Your Damage?, the first KB Shimmer nail polish I have ever tried, this one was easier to work with. I still had to dab the larger glitter particles onto the nail, but they came off the brush more easily. Also this one applied less patchy than What's Your Damage?. All in all, I am really happy with this nail polish. It might not be overly unique, but it is still a lovely creation!

What was on your nails for the 4th of July?

Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!
