I have another sandstyle polish for you :) Surprised much?! I admit that this summer I love to go with the flow and these textured finishes really grew on me. So when I heard Catrice would be releasing a limited edition featuring textured polishes, I knew I needed to have a look at these. Well, the colors of the L'Afrique C'est Chique collection didn't overly appeal to me except for the sunny yellow. I usually like yellow, just not on my nails because it looks weird against my skintone. Since I rarely have any yellows in my stash, I thought I'd take Sunny Side home anway.
Against better judgement I had to give Sunny Side a try. I applied two easy coats over a layer of base coat. So formula-wise this is a winner, but as expected, yellow just isn't my color. I like the shade in the bottle but not on me. Also it was quite disappointing to see the shimmer in the bottle not translate onto the nail. It just looks like a plain textured polish when applied. Despite the texture Sunny Side retains some shine after it has dried and like other sand style polishes this wore very well.
The Catrice L'Afrique C'est Chique collection is available in drugstores across Germany now and one 10ml bottle retails for 2,79€.
Did you pick up anything from the L'Afrique C'est Chique limited edition? If so, let me know what you think of it and Sunny Side in particular :)
Thanks for reading, have a great day!
