[Guest Post] Anna's Peanutbutter & Jelly Pies

Hello everyone!

My name is Anna. Some of you might know me as @Yoosie2808 from Twitter or yoosie2808 from Instagram. I am 29 years old and one of “those Beauty-Girls”… ;)

I have been knowing Sabine since 2011 by a mutual friend and when she asked for some guest bloggers while she is on vacation, I was like “Hell yeah!”…
First I wanted to do some Halloween nailart, but I had to shorten my nails so much that every nailart would just not turn out the way I like it. So I decided to bring some Yumminess to this blog.
Both, Sabine and I have a faible for American food and so I decided to try some PB&J Mini Tartes (PeanutButter & Jelly).

This is what you need for 8 Mini Tartes or one big Tarte/Pie:

For the dough:
300 gram flour + some more        a pinch of salt        2-3 Tablespoons ice-cold water
75 gram sugar                200 gram cold butter + some more

For the Filling:
400 gram currants (or blueberries)    1 Tablespoon currant-jam    1 Teaspoon sugar
350 gram Peanutbutter (you can choose, whether you like it crunchy or creamy)



The dough:

Put 300 gram flour, sugar, a pinch of salt, 200 gram butter (in little pieces) and 2-3 Tablespoons ice-cold water into a bowl. Mix it all together really quick. Only use your hands in the end of mixing, so the dough doesn’t get too warm. Form a ball and cover it. Put the dough in the fridge for about an hour.

The Filling:

•    Use a little butter to grease the Tarteletts-Forms or your Pie-form.
•    Wash the currants and pull them off their stem. 
•    Roll out the dough to a plate with a thickness of 3 mm. To cut out little circles of Ø 12 cm, I used a bowl.  So I cut out 8 circles.
•    But the dough into the Mini-Tarteletts-Forms and push it a little bit, so it fits in perfectly. I used a fork to pinch some holes into the dough.
•    Preheat the oven to 200°C.
•    Put the Jam into a cup and the cup into the microwave for about 10 seconds. Mix it with the sugar and the currants.
•    The Peanutbutter needs to be soft, so you can put it on the dough. After you did that, you put the berries on top.
•    Put the Tarteletts into the oven and bake for 20 Minutes.
•    Let them cool for a while, then take them out of their forms.

*drools* Thank you so much Anny for this recipe! It sounds delicious and since I am obsessed with peanut butter, I will surely try these! I probably will have to eat all of them myself, since no one else I know likes peanut butter o.O So moar for me, lol. And your English is great, no need to worry ;) So, who else is going try these delicious pies??
