[Guest Post] Deborah from Love. Varnish, Chocolate and More

Hi loves!
My name is Deborah and I am one of 2 people writing for Love. Varnish, chocolate and more... It is an honor for me to be writing here today on My Polish Stash. I've been following Sabine's blog for quite some time now and I just love her pretty long nails and gorgeous pictures!

I prepared a nice tape manicure for today featuring a shade I hadn't used before: Bondi Uptown Girl. This was 1 of the polishes I received in my August subscription box and I must admit: I wasn't as excited for this one as I was for some others. I don't wear lilacs too often and shades like these sometimes make your hands look all red, too.

Luckily, this particular shade of lilac is quite nice! I needed 2 coats and the formula is great. It self levels, applies easy and buttery, just your regular Bondi formula. It has a blue undertone (to be seen if you let the bottle sit for a while) and doesn't make my skin look weird.

After it dried I used some striping tape to create an angled French tip on a few nails, and a triangle starting at the base of my nail on 2 other nails. The polish I used for this is from The New Black Typography Weekly Journal set. After the polish dried, I used more striping tape and SpaRitual Howl for the black parts. I didn't want to use a plain black because I already used 2 cremes for this look, the subtle sparkle in Howl just gives enough depth to keep it from looking flat.

In the end, I also tried this look matte. I love it both ways! But I think I prefer the shiny one - the sparkle from Howl just shows a wee bit more :-). Which version would you pick?

Thanks Sabine for letting me guestpost! I hope you like what I came up with it.

Thank you Deborah for letting me feature your pretty nails on my little blog :) I love what you came up with, both shiny and matte. I've been seeing swatches of Bondi polishes over and over again and now I am really curious to try them out myself.
