I hope all of you had a great weekend! I had a good time celebrating my mom's birthday and enjoying this beautiful Fall weekend. It was 20°C here with lots of sunshine, which is quite rare for October over here.
On my last trip to a Kiko store I spied their latest limited edition called Dark Heroine. I really like Kiko's nail polishes, the colors and quality are usually pretty good. But since I am trying to be more picky with my purchases and not get any colors I might already have similar ones of in my collection, I ended up only getting the dark brown called 436 Strong Chocolate from this collection. If you've been following me for a while, you might know that I am not a fan of brown nail polishes. Actually, it is my least favorite color, as most of the times brown looks like *you know what* on my nails. But this one is different and I found myself liking this a whole lot!
The Laser Nail Lacquer's from the Dark Heroine collection are supposed to be "enriched with special reflecting pearls to deliver extreme shine (...) with special lightening effects. With tone on tone reflections and iridescent colour, Laser Nail Lacquers offer incredible colour performance."
Well, that's a mouth full. First of all, I cannot see how these nail polishes are different from your regular shimmer ones. The shimmer in the 436 Strong Chocolate shade however is extremely pretty. There is red, purple, gold and maybe more colors in there, which give the deep brown color a lot of depth. I was surprised with how flattering this color looked on me. It has enough purple-reddish undertones to make it wearable for me.
Texture-wise, this nail polish was on the thick side, which made it 100% opaque on the first coat.
Overall, I am really happy with this purchase, as I do not have anything like this in my collection.
If you want to try the Laser Nail Lacquer's, they're available now in Kiko stores and online, where they retail for 4,90€/£4.90.
Tell me your thoughts on this shade or brown nail polsihes in general!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
