Cadillacquer ~ Fireflies

Good evening everyone

and happy Friday! Do you have fun plans for the weekend? Tomorrow I am finally going to the hairdresser to get a long overdue hair cut. Maintaining a pixie cut in good shape requires quite some time and money, lol. I am thinking about going back to a happy fire truck red color. I so love red hair, but maybe it is not a good idea to dye my hair bright red whilst applying for a new job?! Guess I will decide spontaneously while I am there :)

Today I want to share with you my very first European independent polish. I don't know why, but there seem to be only very few indie polish makers here in Europe - or maybe I just haven't heard of them. One quite well known "brand" by now is Cadillacquer, which first caught my attention with her Dexter collection (she released three collections before this though). For Halloween this year she created two limited edition shades, one of which I will show you today.

Cadillacquer indie polish Fireflies

This is Fireflies, a blackened purple jelly base with violet shimmer, small purple glitter and small metallic gold glitter. On the nail, this looks a lot darker than in the bottle, but I don't mind. It has so much depth with all the shimmer and glitter. My pictures aren't doing this polish justice. I applied two coats to get it opaque. Fireflies is still available in her online shop and retails for $12. You can also buy it in a set with the second limited edition shade Don't Be Scared, which costs $20.

How do you like this polish? And let me know which is your favorite indie polish maker!

Have a great weekend!
