New In My Stash Vol. 6

Hello ladies,

it has been a while since I did my last New In My Stash post. Looking back at the nail polish and make up items it bought during the past three months I have to say I got a little bit better at restraining my purchases - yay. For a detailed description and first impressions on what is new in my collection, read on after the jump!

I finally got my hands on most of the Deborah Lippmann Mermaid nail polishes that came out in Summer 2013. I could not find them when I was in the States recently, so I hunt them down in various German/European online shops. I won't be getting Mermaid's Dream, as I have two close dupes for this shade already. I am still looking for the blue of the bunch called Mermaid's Eyes, so if anyone wants to get rid of theirs, let me know ;) While searching the online shops for Mermaid polishes, I came across the Jewelry Heist collection. This was on sale at that time, so I snagged Fake It Till You Make It and Shake Your Money Maker.

China Glaze was another nail polish brand I did not come across while spending time in New Orleans and New York City - they really need more stockists in Manhattan! So after I returned home I ordered some online. The ones I got are It's Tree-mendous and All Wrapped Up from the HoliGlaze collection, Scandalous Shenanigans from the Autumn Night collection, Lubu Heels (whis is permanent) and Howl You Doin' from the Monsters Ball Halloween collection.

From a Dutch online shop I bought three Zoya polishes I really wanted - Chita, Payton and Dream. They're more expensive when I order them from a European seller, but so far I could not find a reliable US e-tailer with good prices either. For me, these three polishes are totally worth the 12€ *cough* price tag.
The new Catrice Crystal Crush polish in Oyster & Champagne was disappointing, as I expected something different. I swatched and reviewed this polish here
4 In the Morning is the only nail polish I got from OPI's Gwen Stefanie collection and I really enjoy this satin black color.

One day Jeanette from The Swatchaholic was tweeting about the Jack Black Hand Healer hand cream and how she loved their products. Being the sucker for hand care products that I am, I instantly googled reviews and most of them sounded very promising. So off to Amazon I went and ordered a tube - well, actually I ended up getting the giant 16 oz dispenser, whoops. So far I really like it. It absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy residue, so it is perfect to use during the day. It has a very strong mentholy scent to it, which might not be for everybody. I will put this to the test a bit longer and then share a thorough review if you're interested.
Another product I've been obsessed with for the past few months is the cold cream from HeyMountain cosmetics. This is a little company that creates wonderful handmade cosmetics. Similar to Lush, but with better ingredients I feel. This particular cream smells like fruitpunch and spices. I mainly use it at night and I love how soft it leaves may hands.

Last but not least I bought a few make up items. On a recent trip to the Netherlands I picked up the L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation. This is called Liquid Powder in the US. The shade I got is 100 Porcelein, which - of course - is not available in Germany.
The Maybelline Illegal Length mascara is a repurchase and I cannot say anything bad about this product. It just gives me the longest lashes ever.
From Sigma's Creme De Couture collection I got two blushes, Strawberry Ambrosia and Cherry Apple. These are the very first make up items I ever tried from Sigma and so far I like them.
After hearing Tati aka GlamLifeGuru on YouTube talk so much about the Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair, I decided to give it a try. If you want to get this in a German pharmacy, you have to look out for Eucerin Acute Lip Balm. What's wih this whole "Let's name products differently in different countries to confuse customers" thing?! Anyways, this lip balm works well for my dry lips, it does feel a bit slippery though. I am not sure this will run out my Burt's Bees Honey Lip balm.

Phew, even though I felt I didn't buy that many products, this post got longer than I expected. I hope you liked it anyway. If there is anything you'd like to see swatched, leave a comment below.
Thank you for stopping by.
