I hope y'all had a great week and have an even greater weekend ahead of you! I have to go to the lab tomorrow morning, but afterwards I have some fun stuff coming up. At my local MAC counter I recently won a complete application and this weekend I am finally going to take advantage of that. I don't know which look I will be going for, but I guess the girls at the counter will come up with something I like. Afterwards I am going to a colleague's stag party. That should be fun :)
But first things first. Today is day 11 of the April Nail Art challenge by CaliforNails and the theme is chevrons. It was pretty much a no brainer to use my new OPI polishes from the recent Brazil collection - I just love the colors! And I finally had an excuse to use my chevron vinyls from MakeitStickDesigns.
Please excuse the kinda awkward hand pose, but it is so hard to take aesthetically pleasing pictures of all five nails. For this manicure I used OPI Taupeless Beach, Amazon... Amazoff and my favorite from the Brazil collection, Toucan Do It If You Try. I simply used a dotting tool to create the dotted chevrons. For my ring finger I used the vinyl stickers. Make sure to stick these to the back of your hands once or twice before applying them to your nails! Otherwise they're too sticky and will pull off the nail polish underneath. I had to learn this the hard way while creating this manicure... twice!! So please excuse the bump on my ring finger where I tried to fix my base color (I did not have the time or patience to do this nail a forth time). Next time I make sure the base is 101% dry before applying any tape. Even with a fast drying topcoat it took longer to dry than I expected. Oh enough with the complaining, I really like how this came out and even my boyfriend was super excited about this manicure.
I hope you enjoyed this post, too! Wishing you all a great weekend and see you soon!
