Nail Art April ~ Drybrush manicure

Happy hump day everyone!

I hope you're all having a good week so far!
The prompt in the "totally doable I have a life" nail art challenge for day 23 is a drybrush manicure, which is also known as distressed nails. It is a very easy, yet effective and cool technique. For a detailed tutorial head over to Sarah from Chalkboard Nails. I decided to go with metallic colors for my design.

For my version of distressed nails I used Essie - Penny Talk as a base color. I don't like to wear it on its own, because it is prone to brush strokes, but it is perfect for all sorts of nail art. Over that I applied vertical and horizontal strokes of China Glaze - Adore and Revlon - Super Top Speed Chrome in the color Punch. As a finishing touch I applied a few strokes of Essie - Licorice and topped everything off with the Misslyn 60 seconds top coat. This top coat was recommended to me by a reader and I really like it!

By the way, would anyone be interested in a huge top coat comparison? Let me know ;)
Thanks for reading, until next time!
