Maybelline Bleached Neons ~ French Manicure

Happy Sunday everyone!

I finally managed to get hold of some of the Maybelline Color Show Bleached Neon polishes! Here in Germany we got only four of the colors and by the time I finally found them in my local drugstore the peach Sun Flare had already sold out. So from the remaining three shades I picked up Coral Heat 242 and Chic Chartreuse 244. I love that these polishes are not pastels, but not bright enough to be neon, either. They're something different in between all the neon collections that brands release every summer.

For this manicure I combined both Coral Heat and Chic Chartreuse in a French nail design with a drag marble accent nail. I really don't like to fuss around with those French manicure stickers or tape, so I simply free-handed the tips. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Coral Heat was dense enough to be opaque with just one swipe. The formula of the Bleached Neons in general is pretty good. Both went on evenly and not patchy (which tends to happen a lot with pastel polishes). Two coats of Chic Chartreuse was all I needed for full coverage.
So if you can find these at the drugstore, I recommend picking them up. You won't be disappointed! I just wish we had gotten more shades, like the blue or purple you people in the US had.

Did you get anything from the Bleached Neons collection or do you prefer the "traditional" neon nail polishes?

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day.
