Maybelline Super Stay ~ Couture Orange

Hell-o everyone!

During my last trip to the drugstore I came across a display with four new (?) nail polish shades and matching lippes of the Maybelline Super Stay range. Since I love orange this summer season, I took the bright Couture Orange home with me. This creme finish polish claims to have a gel-like finish and wear for up to seven days. This is my first ever purchase of this range and I had big hopes for this polish, especially for the 8€ price tag!

What you see on my nails is three coats of Maybelline Couture Orange and an accent nail with Essie - Licorice. Couture Orange went on patchy and even after three coats there is still some visible nail line - meh. I applied one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat, which usually extends the wear of my polishes quite a bit. Well, not for this one. My manicure came cracking and chipping off after three days. Since I usually repaint my nails every second to third day, I don't mind a polish coming off after three days. But if something claims to wear for seven days it should last longer than that! Oh, and to me, the finish is not gel-like at all!
Vinal verdict: While I absolutely love the color I expect more from a 8€ drugstore polish! For the money I'd rather get an Essie polish, as these usually have a better formula.

Have you tried anything from the Maybelline Super Stay line?

Thanks for reading!
