Today's prompt for the 31 Days of Nail Art challenge is yellow, another of those colors that is hard to pull off for me. Gladly I found some cheap yellow Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polish in a Dollar store last weekend that I wanted to use for my yellow manicure.
I ended up making some starry watermarble decals using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Lemon Zest and China Glaze - Sun-Kissed.
To add something extra I punched some stars into my decals before applying them over a slightly tacky layer of OPI - Alpine Snow. One layer of top coat et voilá, done.
Sadly my camera miserably failed to capture the difference between the two shimmery colors. While China Glaze - Sun Kissed is a highlighter neon yellow, Sally Hansen - Lemon Zest is warmer and more of a sunny yellow. I swear the effect is much nicer in person. My phone captured this manicure much better, so here a more true to life shot!
I think I am slowly but steadily getting into this challenge. I finally am forced to try all the nail designs I have had in mind for forever, but never dared to try!
