#31DC2014 ~ Day 04 Green Nails

We are getting closer to my comfort zone colors. While yellow and orange nails do not suit me very well, I love wearing green shades on my nails! For today's theme I thought I'd do my boyfriend a favor. He loves everything khaki, military or murky green and constantly wears those camouflage pants. So I got inspired by him to do some camouflage nails.

For my camouflage nails I used three polishes from Finger Paints that just looked perfect side by side. The khaki green I used as a base is Military Green. The dusty forest green is Vintage Velvet and the grey accents were done with Stunning Stilettos. For some brown patches I used P2 All Light UV polish in the color 060 Sassy Stone. With a shiny finish, the camouflage pattern did not look authentic to me, so I applied one coat of the Essence Soft Touch top coat to mattify things. To me, it looks much more pulled together this way.

The Finger Paints polishes came out with their Fall Fashionista collection way back in Fall 2011 and I haven't worn them in ages. Looking back at swatches of the whole collection I regret not getting all of them. The formula of these is really nice and covers evenly with two coats. If anyone knows where to get the remaining shades from this collection, please let me know!

  1. Thanks a lot Monica! I didn't look quite right with a shiny finish.
