One last summer manicure: Dance Legend ~ Chumash

Happy Sunday!

October is here and the Fall season is upon us. With the darker gloomy weather come deep vampy nail polish shades. But before we dive into burgundy shades, browns and deep blue hues, I have one last summer manicure to show you. Chumash from the Malibu collection by Dance Legend is the nail polish I wore during my holidays in Spain.

Dance Legend - Chumash is a bright seafoam green crelly base with fuchsia and yellow squares, small white hexes and large white diamonds. The different shapes of glitter were what drew me to this nail polish. Gladly, the base is not too opaque and allows the glitters from underlying layers to peek through. The only drawback to this kind of formula is the need for more layers to completely cover your nail. I wore three thin coats to get everything opaque. Also, Chumash is thirsty for top coat! I applied two coats of Glisten & Glow HK Girl and still the surface was not completely smooth.

Chumash wore pretty well. After two days a corner on my thumb chipped off, but I blame it on the peel I buffed out before I applied the polish. After four days I had a bit of tip wear and I took the whole nail polish off after 5 days, but I could have left it on for at least another day.

Dance Legend polishes are available directly in their online shop and the polishes ship from Russia. While I have heard many not so great things about shipping times, packaging and customer service, I still decided to order directly from them, because retailers like Hypnotic Polish, Llarowe or Rainbow Connection did not stock all polishes I wanted. The package took 6 weeks to get here, which isn't too bad. Every polish was individually wrapped in bubble wrap and everything made it in one piece. So I do not have anything bad to say about Dance Legend and I will order from them again in the future.

Have you tried Dance Legend polishes? If so, feel free to share your experiences :)

  2. Kiko 463 is also the same, though it has a slight shimmer to it and a matte finish)

  3. I do not have no. 896, but I think layering it over a similar color is a great idea! I will look into my stash to see if I have a matching seafoam green :)

  5. Do you have Dance Legend 896? It's almost the same in colour as the base of Chumash. I layered Chumash over it and the result was wonderful!
