Happy Sunday everyone,
today is a perfect Spring day over here in good old Germany. We just returned from a weekend trip to Bonn, where we visited the botanical garden and attended a meeting about carnivorous plants. We want to go out and soak up some more sun while it lasts, but still I want to share a swatch with you that I did a while ago.
I have to admit I am not the biggest fan of flakies, but since these multichromatic flakies keep flaoting around, I had to give in to the hype and try them out myself. One of the two I have purchased until now is Star Shadow from the Fantasia Flakies collection by Glam Polish. I went for this one, because it had so many different colors in it.
While Star Shadow appears mainly teal and blue, there are also sparks of gold, green and pink in the clear base.
I wore three coats of Glam Polish Star Shadow on its own. It looks a bit thin at the tips, but otherwise it is pretty opaque. Still I would rather wear this over a black base next time. The dark base brings out the color shift much better. Instead of doing several coats to get it opaque, I will try applying it with a sponge, which soaks up most of the clear polish and gives a much better flakie payoff.
Have you tried any of the new flakies? Let me know how you like them and which is your favorite, so I can check it out :)
