Spring Stamping #manifail

Spring nail design butterfly
Happy Good Friday!
For this weekend I attempted some spring themed nails. As you've probably read in the title of this post, this manicure did not quite turn out the way I had imagined.

I started out with ILNP Dreaming in Violet, a stunning radiant orchid holographic nail polish. The butterfly image from MoYou Princess plate 12 XL screamed spring to me and I thought stamping with Mundo de Unas turquoise would look good. I still like the contrast between the violet and the turquoise color, but that is about it. I did a horrible job at stamping straight. The design came out ok on my index finger, but looked crooked on the remaining nails. Yikes. Still I wanted to share this manicure with you, so you can see that even "experienced nail painters" fail from time to time - at least I surely do!
By the way, I'd be very grateful for tips on how to stamp like a pro! I have trouble picking up the image from the plates. Small details often do not transfer to the stamper at all (I use the squishy one from MoYou). I already buffed it lightly with a nail file, but that did not help much.

I appreciate and read every comment. Feel free to leave your opinion below! Please do not leave your blog link in the comments. If you like me to check out your blog, please write me an e-mail! Thanks
