Happy hump day!
Today I have another stunning creation from a-England for you. Crown of Thistles was released as a part of the Elizabeth & Mary collection a while ago. I do not know what took me so long to order Crown of Thistles, because it is a stunning amethyst shade with a subtle holographic effect. And just like all other a-England nail polishes I own, this one did not disappoint.
The formula of Crown of Thistles is pure perfection. It went on smooth and evenly, it is very pigmented and two easy coats were all I needed for complete coverage. The holographic effect is quite subtle, but well visible in sunlight. My daylight lamp pictures are not doing this beauty justice and my camera swallows a lot of the holo goodness. So you have to trust me that Crown of Thistles is simply beautiful and you need it in your stash.
On day three Crown of Thistles showed some tip wear, but I wasn't ready to take it off. Instead, I stamped a pattern from MoYou London Hipster plate 07 over it. The polish I used for that is Velvet by Mundo de Unas. The pattern did not come out as 3D-like as it looks on the plate, but I am glad I got a decent result at all (except for my ring finger, where I accidentally put liquid latex on the side of the nail).
If you're in the UK, you can order a-England polishes directly from their website. The brand is also available from several retailers all across the globe. I bought mine from Hypnotic Polish, where it retails for 9,40€.
