Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you are having a fabulous weekend. For my US readers, I hope you had a great time celebrating July 4th with barbeques and fireworks. We have had one of the hottest weekends in decades here in Germany with temperatures around the 40°C/102°F mark. This morning we had some rain, but it is still 30°C/86°F and quite humid. I love summer, but I am not made for this hot weather. Despite the heat, I swatched one of the new (at least new to the German market) Sally Hansen Miracle Gel shades called Mad Woman for you.
Mad Woman is a hot magenta pink color with shimmer. The formula was nice and I only needed two coats for full coverage. I applied one layer of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel top coat, which gave a really shiny finish.
I love this color! Mad Woman is so bright and fun and perfect for summer. I feel like it has a slight duochrome effect. At certain angles it appears a deep rich magenta, while at others it looks more bright.
Here is a macro shot of Sally Hansen Mad Woman in all its glory. I wasn't a fan of the very first Miracle Gel polish I tried (Dig Fig), but this one and Tidal Wave are worth checking out. I do not know if Sally Hansen changed the formula of the color polish or the top coat or if the quality across the Miracle Gel range is just inconsistent. I have some more shades to try and I will keep you posted on that!
