Essie Mint Candy Apple & Sittin' Pretty gradient with swirly duochrome stamping

It is nail art time again on My Polish Stash! Now that I have finally found the perfect stamper for me (review coming soon!), I've been into stamping a lot lately. For today's stamping mani I went with a summery lilac and mint gradient as a base and a swirly duochrome stamping on top.

I started out this manicure with one coat of Essie White Page to make the colors pop. For my gradient I used Essie Mint Candy Apple and Sittin' Pretty from last year's neon collection. Sittin' Pretty is sheer and watery, thus I had to go trough three rounds of sponging to get a satisfying result. Before I stamped I applied one layer of quick dry top coat over the gradient and let that dry for a good 20 minutes.

For the stamping I chose a swirled image from MoYou London Princess plate 12 and El Corazon Kaleidoscope polish in 23 Aurora Borealis. This is a pretty ice blue duochrome polish that shifts to a light purple color. I was worried that the duochrome effect might only show up over darker colors, but I was pleased to see it works nicely over lighter colors, too. It appears especially sparkly in sunlight.

This is my first El Corazon stamping polish and now that I have tried Aurora Borealis I want to test more. Have you tried their Kaleidoscope stamping polishes? If you have, please let me know which are your favorites, because I have a hard time deciding on a color. El Corazon is a Russian brand and I purchased my bottle of Aurora Borealis at the Dutch web shop Hypnotic Polish.

I hope you enjoyed this manicure. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time.
