Picture Polish - Scandal

purple jelly shimmer nail polish

Happy Sunday! How is your weekend going? I hope all is well. Today is a rather busy day for me, because I need to pack my bags for London where I'm going to spend the week. My boyfriend and I wanted to take a little break before I dive into my new job, which starts September 1st. I visited London last year (check out my London shopping tips here) and we both loved it so much that we knew we wanted to go back soon. While we saw most of the famous attractions last time, we want to explore the not-so-touristy areas so see the "real" London this time. If you would like to follow my trip, check out my personal instagram account @zabeenuh. I will post some photos from London while I am there. If I am not traveling, I post food and make up stuff.

The beautiful polish I have for you today is Picture Polish's Scandal. I own very few (two to be exact) Picture Polishes, mainly because they were hard to get in Europe until recently and secondly, because they are on the pricier side. When I saw swatches of the Vampy Chameleons collection over at Very Emily I fell in love with Poison and Scandal. While I could not get my hands on Poison until now, because it is sold out at European stockists most of the time, I was able to grab its sister Scandal when I placed an order with The Nailista Shop.

Picture Polish describes Scandal as a "blood red scatter holo with chameleon tones in pink and green". It looks more raspberry or purple than red to me, but it is pretty either way. It is a jelly base with holographic microglitter and teal shimmer that has a slight duochrome effect. Actually, the shimmer is what drew me in, but it does not show up on the nail at all - neither in sunlight nor shade or in artificial light.
The formula is great though. It glides on easily and dries super shiny without top coat.

Picture Polish Scandal is Limited Edition. It is still available directly on their website. In Germany you can order Picture Polish via Makeupland. For other countries see their list of international stockists.

Now I need to decide what to take with me to London. I scheduled some posts while I am away, so stay tuned for those and follow my personal instagram @zabeenuh for updates from London. Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!
