Fall is my favorite season of the year. Not as far as the weather is concerned (which usually involves a lot of rain and wind over here), but more the overall mood that comes with it - the colorful falling leaves, early sunsets and cozy evenings with a steaming cup of tea and candlelight. I also prefer a comfy sweater and a warm scarf over a flowy summer dress and flip flops. Thus, it may come as no surprise that Fall nail polish collections are my favorites. One can never have enough deep vampy hues, rich reds or orange tones and saturated shimmers. This fall various indie brands knocked my socks off, one of them being Different Dimension with their Anomalous Phenomena collection. The deep and rich microglitter polishes were love at first sight. Today I have for you the blurple Chasing Shadows, which along with Knock Once For Yes is my favorite of this six piece collection.
Different Dimension Chasing Shadows is a blurple color: blue leaning towards purple - or a purple leaning towards blue?! Either way, it is a pretty color. The jelly base is loaded with silver holographic microglitter which adds a good amount of sparkle. The jelly base is pigmented enough to cover completely in 2-3 coats depending on thickness. For these swatches I did 2 medium coats and one layer of top coat.
The formula of Chasing Shadows is very nice and easy to work with. It dries to a smooth and shiny finish on its own, but being the creature of habit that I am, I added a layer of top coat anyway. The silver microglitter adds a nice scattered holographic effect and depth to this nail polish.
Chasing Shadows is my very first Different Dimension polish and it did not disappoint. I love the color, which will be perfect for wear all year round. The formula is great and with $8.75 for a 15ml bottle it is an affordable indie polish. You can buy Different Dimension Chasing Shadows and her other polishes from the bigcartel shop here. She does ship internationally.
How do you like Chasing Shadows? Which is your favorite nail polish for fall? I'd love to know. Thank you for reading, see you soon!
