Hello everyone, greetings from a hotel room in Bonn. I am currently residing at the opposite end of the state to visit customers in the next two days. I did not manage to schedule some nail art posts before I left, so instead I am showing you what is on my wishlist this year. I hope you enjoy this post.
Jamie Oliver's Comfort Food
I love Jamie Oliver and his way of cooking. It is casual, you do not need fancy ingredients and it is easy to cook at home. Comfort Food is one of his recent books focused on food for your soul.
Dr. Martens Chelsea boots
Ever since my teenage years I have loved Dr Martens boots! My favorite model is their infamous 8 eye boot. Yes, their shoes are pricey. Yes, most of them rub your feet in the beginning. But once the material has stretched they are the most comfortable shoes ever - and they last forever! I always wear mine until the soles hardly exist anymore and yet the leather is still intact. This time I want to try another model and I think Chelsea boots will be a good addition to skinny jeans.
Paula's Choice Barely There Sheer Matte Tint
This currently is my favorite tinted moisturizer! I've gone through two of these in the shade "Level 1" (the lightest one). The coverage is light, but nicely evens out my skin tone. The name is a bit misleading in my opinion, because it is not matte on my skin but rather dewy. Since I always use a powder to set my face I do not mind. I wear this alone during summer, during winter I layer this over a slightly heavier moisturizer.
Jack Skellington Mug
I love tea and I love to collect mugs, especially huge pots. Coewless instagram inspired me to get this mug. Why haven't I thought about getting a Jack Skellington mug earlier since Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite movie of all time?!
Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamon
I like Jo Malone scents, because they are kind of "natural" and clean, instead of overloaded with all sorts of fragrances. I believe Mimosa & Cardamon is the newest addition to their line. I got the chance to try it last weekend when I was shopping in Dortmund (there is no Jo Malone counter near me and I can only get it online). The scent is heavenly! It is floral, but not too floral, mixed with a good amount of spice without being too overpowering - so good! Too bad their perfumes are expensive...
L'Occitane Shea hand cream
Finally something nail related, haha. To be honest I have so much nail polish and nail care stuff that I hardly ask for something for Christmas. And to be fair, I would not want to bother friends and family with having to order nail stuff from across the pond, haha. The L'Occitane hand cream is a cult classic and works so well, but like the Jo Malone scents this stuff is pricey and I never buy it for myself. It makes for a nice gift though and the bigger tube is better value for money.
Olaf 3D mug
Aaaand another mug. I found this while browsing the Disney store online shop. Isn't it cute with the carrot nose? By the way, if you haven't watched Frozen you need to go and see it ASAP! Olaf is hilarious, even my boyfriend was rolling on the floor laughing during the Olaf scenes.
Ok, so I have two polishes from the newest OPI Holiday collection on my wish list this year. I did not like those crazy silver glitter polishes and I have more than enough shades of red, but these two spoke to me when I saw swatches of them. Fingers crossed they're still available and my friends and family know where to get those ;)
What is on your wishlist for Christmas this year? Do you have wish lists in the family or do you try to come up with gift ideas on your own? Let me know :)
Thanks for reading, have a nice evening.
