Happy new year everyone, welcome to 2016! The old year passed by way to quick for my liking and I feel like the older I get the faster time flies. Not that I consider myself being old, but ever since I turned 30 I have been thinking a lot about me as a person, the things I still want to do and the person I would like to be. That sounds so pathetic, but let us just say 2015 hasn't been the greatest year for me. So here is to a new start in 2016. May it hold lots of great moments for all of us!
Those were my last minute new year's eve nails. I finally wanted to use the nail foils I have bought a whole while ago. The silver holographic one is called Mystic Haze and is from Transdesign, the metallic oil slick design is from Essence. As a base I used Essie Licorice, my favorite black nail polish.
I attempted a firework design on my nails, but drawing with the foil primer, which has the consistency of very thin und runny PVA glue, was not easy. The final result did not look a lot like exploding fireworks, but I still like the abstract look of this manicure.
I hope you had a great time celebrating new year's eve! What was on your nails last night?
Thanks also to all my readers who supported my little blog throughout this last year. Your feedback is what keeps me going. Without you, I would probably have given up posting my manis on the internet already. So thank you for your clicks, kind comments and constructive criticism! Stay tuned for several Best of 2015 posts this coming week ;)
